Review comments at @src/app/Session.cs:
- Around line 390-391: Update the Connected notification flow using
App["settings"]["oscHost"] to determine whether an OSC receiver is configured
before adding HeadsetApp.Destination(App) as detail. When no receiver is
configured, keep the state Connected and notify with the headset status alone;
retain destination details when a receiver is configured.
- Around line 435-444: Track the stdout and stderr drain task started by Launch
for each process, await that task in StopChild, and have StartHybrid call
StopChild on the previous hybrid process before disposing it and launching its
replacement.
Review comments at
@src/headset/app/java/com/qftplus/headset/ControlReceiver.java:
- Line 103: Update the availability reporting in ControlReceiver so missing
frames do not mark Meta tracking as unavailable; represent availability as
unknown until a frame arrives, or gate the desktop tracking warning on receiving
being true. Preserve the existing availability checks for received frames.
Review comments at @src/tracking/hybrid/hybrid.py:
- Line 59: Update the watchdog exit flow around the `threading.Thread` that runs
`report_stall` so it waits for the reporter to finish, using a bounded timeout,
before calling `os._exit(1)`. Preserve the existing stall reporting behavior and
ensure the wait does not block indefinitely.

Keep tracking shutdown bounded when termination or output draining fails, and report when a tracking process remains alive after cleanup. Handle Windows adapter-enumeration errors during OSC discovery, and stop lipsync status and meter timers immediately on navigation or window closure. For an unreadable headset backup, preserve the archive and show localized instructions for moving it aside before retrying with defaults. Preserve specific wrong-headset guidance during fresh installs. These changes address late findings on #11, #12, and #14 and reuse the existing timer and error paths. Validation: Windows Release build; bounded process shutdown, output-drain and log-retention checks; incomplete-shutdown status; WPF rapid-navigation and missing-microphone tests; existing lipsync checks; twelve backup/restore tests including corrupt-archive recovery and wrong-device guidance; localization and source checks.
Moves the remaining hardcoded Windows and Quest text into
Strings.resxandstrings.xml: status and error messages, notifications, setup and tracking steps, face-tracking parameter names, and headset settings and errors. Calibration prompts from the Python guide now arrive as string keys, and the calibration screen localizes them.Also includes changes made alongside: Studio row and sidebar layout tweaks, status rows that open their screen at the matching setting, warnings when Meta face or eye tracking is unavailable on the headset, and a hybrid hands stall watchdog that saves thread stacks to
hybrid-stall.log.Validation: Windows app build; Quest app compile; native and Python syntax checks; resource validator and its tests. Merges cleanly with the other four PRs from this split in any order.
