Closing: this PR anchored sc-17216's inbox-based cancellation onto the document-from-PDF conversion flow, which has its own (already documented) banner/modal cancellation and does not surface jobs in My Inbox. The feature sc-17216 actually shipped (server-side durable cancel for template outline generation, Settings → Templates) has no existing docs page — that gap needs a docs-team decision rather than an incremental edit. Will follow up on the Docs 26.09 tracker.
