This file is the release changelog, with one `## <version> - <title>` entry per release, newest first. The Cursor-to-T3 rewrite rules live in [`tools/substitutions.json`](tools/substitutions.json), and the [sync boundary](CONTRIBUTING.md#the-sync-boundary) in `CONTRIBUTING.md` defines how a change to upstream's skill content is declared.

## 2.0.0-rc.9 - Lauren's `16541c6`: ketchup lists every waiting item so each call is decidable

t3-pstack moves to Lauren Tan's pstack at cursor/plugins `16541c6` for all three components. Only pstack changed upstream, and its version stays 0.15.25. Ketchup's 150-word cap and two-line action items made the model fold a set of PRs into a count and send the rest of the calls to a linked file. It now gives each waiting item its own bullet, and the reply grows with the item count while a small one stays short ([pstack #692](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/692)). `bun tools/sync.mjs` updated `ketchup/SKILL.md` and poteto-help's ketchup row cleanly through existing substitutions, which keep ketchup's `task_status` and `list_thread_pull_requests` check and its `html_render` charts. The new text names no Cursor mechanism, so no rule was added, and the 15 declared forks are untouched. [pstack #702](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/702), [#705](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/705), and [#704](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/704) sit between the two pins and change no port file: #705 and #704 touch only excluded docs, and #702 renames skills' frontmatter `name` to their folder, which the port already does. At `16541c6` each component's dry run reports no undeclared fork, no denylist hit, and no substitution that matches nothing. Neither hooks file changes.

| Change | 2.0.0-rc.8 | 2.0.0-rc.9 | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Reply length | The whole reply stays well under 150 words, not counting visuals. | What happened stays under 100 words, each item gets about 30, and the reply grows with the item count. A count or a link never stands in for an item. | pstack #692 |
| Action items | Two plain lines each: the decision with a recommendation and why, then what happens if the user does not answer. | One bullet per item, riskiest first, with its link or PR number, what it changes for users, the evidence, its risk even when low, and a pick. Items that share a call state the call and pick once. | pstack #692 |
| Visuals | Never a status list or unconnected boxes. | Also never a list of action items. Structural diagrams, such as a PR stack or a before and after, stay. | pstack #692 |

## 2.0.0-rc.8 - Lauren's `0317eb8`: a brand comes from a type guard, not `as`

t3-pstack moves to Lauren Tan's pstack at cursor/plugins `0317eb8` for all three components. Only pstack changed upstream, and its version stays 0.15.25. `typescript-best-practices` built its branded-type example with the `as` cast that its own "No `as` casts" row warns against, and now builds it through a type guard ([pstack #700](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/700)). `bun tools/sync.mjs` updated `SKILL.md` and `references/patterns.md` cleanly, and both are byte-identical to upstream's. No substitution or fork names either file, and the 15 declared forks are untouched. [pstack #637](https://github.com/cursor/plugins/pull/637), between the two pins, changed only upstream's README and `docs/harness/claude-code.md`, which the port excludes. #700's copies under `harness/pstack/claude-code/` sit outside every synced component. At `0317eb8` each component's dry run reports no undeclared fork, no denylist hit, and no substitution that matches nothing. Neither hooks file changes.

`install` and `update` are the same command, and a second run changes nothing. With Node 20 or later, it installs or updates the `t3-pstack@t3-pstack` plugin in every Claude Code and Codex config home T3 can run: `~/.claude` and `~/.codex`, `$CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR` and `$CODEX_HOME`, and the home of each `claudeAgent` and `codex` instance in T3's settings, disabled ones included. Name any other home with `--claude-home <dir>` or `--codex-home <dir>`. Each home's `t3-pstack` marketplace must come from `chhoumann/t3-pstack`, or from `--source <owner/repo|git URL|dir>` on the same run, and a home whose marketplace has another source is left as it is. A local directory needs a path such as `./t3-pstack`, since `owner/repo` always means GitHub. On Codex it also trusts t3-pstack's session-start hook, once its hooks file is the one this release pins. Codex runs a plugin's hook only once it is trusted, and T3's Codex sessions never ask, so without this step the hook never runs. Run `update` after each release.

## Staying current

This repository syncs from Lauren's tree directly, synced against upstream `0317eb8`. `tools/upstream.json` pins each component, `tools/substitutions.json` holds the rewrite rules and a denylist of Cursor terms, and `tools/forks.json` declares every file the port keeps in its own form and why. `bun tools/sync.mjs <component> <sha>` derives each upstream file through the rules, merges it three ways with the port's copy, and fails on an undeclared fork, a denylist hit, or a rule that no longer matches upstream. [CONTRIBUTING.md](CONTRIBUTING.md#the-sync-boundary) has the details.
