Problem

After scaffolding, developers still have to find relevant agent skills and install them manually. Installing a whole repository can add unrelated instructions, and a global install should not change the app.

Changes

  • Offer Install recommended / Customize / Skip after setup, with Skip as the default. Each applicable Expo and backend skill is individually selectable in grouped sections.
  • Add expojet skills install, explicit coding-agent selection, project/global scope, previews, and per-skill CLI selection. --yes alone never opts into installation.
  • Use a reviewed catalog with pinned Git revisions, licenses, and provenance. Keep recommendations separate from generation; app manifests, presets, templates, and generated output are unchanged.
  • Stage an exact-version installer in isolated temporary storage. Guard actual destinations, copy atomically, deduplicate agent paths, skip identical content, and preserve existing edits.
  • Record provenance separately, report partial failures accurately, and print scoped retry commands. Optional post-create failures preserve successful app creation.
  • Add user docs, an architecture decision, a minor changeset, deterministic regression tests, and opt-in live catalog checks.

Verification

  • pnpm exec turbo typecheck test: all 22 tasks passed; CLI suite has 144 passing tests.
  • pnpm architecture:check: all 64 scenarios unchanged.
  • pnpm sdk:check: both SDK checksums passed.
  • pnpm smoke:pack: published-tarball smoke passed.
  • Changed-source Biome checks and git diff --check: passed. Scoped repository Biome has only existing CSS warnings and one existing informational diagnostic.
  • Opt-in live acquisition tests: all eight pinned sources passed, including all cataloged Expo skills. Live checks caught malformed upstream Convex frontmatter; the catalog now uses an earlier valid, licensed revision.
  • Regression coverage includes SDK 57/58 previews, both scopes, navigation/structure recommendations, path deduplication, edited-content conflicts, retries, cancellation, offline partial failures, symlink/path guards, and Windows paths with spaces. Global-install tests confirm project files remain unchanged.

Full local pnpm check stops on an existing nested Biome root under ignored .kilo/worktrees; its checks were run separately. Unrelated .gitignore and output/ work is excluded.

Limits

Missing reviewed coverage is reported explicitly (including Better Auth, Express, NestJS, Drizzle, and several styling/state/analytics integrations). Convex skills are labeled community-maintained. Upstream skills are guidance, not SDK compatibility certification; check installed dependency versions, especially for Clerk. Agent discovery requires a supporting agent version. No automatic update/removal, MCP configuration, or Stack Builder UI is included.
