Why

pnpm lint:ci (Biome 2.6.2) emits a deserialize DEPRECATED diagnostic on biome.json:

The use of the recommended field has been deprecated, and will removed in the next major version of Biome. Use preset instead.

It only flags linter.rules.recommended. If we leave it, the config breaks when Biome 3 removes the field.

What

Ran biome migrate --write:

  • linter.rules.recommended: true → linter.rules.preset: "recommended"
  • assist.actions.recommended: true → assist.actions.preset: "recommended". The schema doesn't mark this one deprecated yet, but preset is its documented replacement. Converting it now keeps both sections consistent and is what the official migrator produces.

The schema says preset: "recommended" enables the same rule set as recommended: true, and explicit group and rule overrides still take precedence. So lint behaviour stays the same.

Verification

  • biome ci --no-errors-on-unmatched: deprecation info is gone; 69 files checked, no diagnostics.
  • biome lint on all 69 files before and after: the output is the same apart from the removed deprecation notice.

Generated by Claude Code

Biome 2.6 deprecates `linter.rules.recommended` in favour of
`linter.rules.preset`, emitting a DEPRECATED info diagnostic in CI.
Applied `biome migrate --write`, which also converts
`assist.actions.recommended` to the equivalent `preset` form.
