#48 raised requires-python to 3.11. We keep 3.10 across the uwplasma codes.

  • requires-python = ">=3.10", plus tomli; python_version < '3.11' in pyproject.toml and requirements.txt.
  • load_parameters falls back to tomli instead of pip._vendor.tomli.
  • CI tests 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12.
  • On 3.10 the resolver gets jax 0.6.2 and diffrax 0.7.0, because diffrax 0.7.1+ needs 3.11. diffrax 0.7.0 reports a dtmin stop as max_steps_reached, so the two dt_min_reached assertions from Expose dtmin, max_steps and throw so a collapsing step stops, or is reported, instead of crawling #50 run only on diffrax >= 0.7.1.

Tests: 19 passed on 3.13. On 3.10 (macOS) the dtmin tests pass. test_perturbation_...[4] segfaults inside jaxlib 0.6.2 on macOS, and the 3.10 CI lane will show whether that also happens on Linux. The Orszag-Tang gradient from #84 also runs on 3.10.

Lower requires-python to 3.10, add tomli for 3.10 and import it instead of
pip's vendored copy, and test 3.10 in CI. diffrax 0.7.0 is the newest on
3.10 and reports a dtmin stop as max_steps_reached, so those two checks
need diffrax >= 0.7.1.
