Summary

Adds the TypeScript Vue 3 composable integration (@tryabby/vue) consuming @tryabby/core.

Implemented Composables

  • useAbby: returns reactive variant and onAct callback
  • useFeatureFlag: returns boolean feature flag state
  • useRemoteConfig: returns typed remote config value

Closes #68
/claim #68

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added Vue composables for reading experiment variants, recording actions, checking feature flags, and retrieving remote configuration.
    • Values are read from the client when the composables are called; they do not automatically update when client data changes.

Walkthrough

The change adds a Vue composable factory backed by an AbbyClientCore interface. The factory exposes composables for reading a variant, recording an action, reading a feature flag, and reading remote configuration.

The Vue package cannot currently be published or used with the core client, and even with a custom adapter it would not update reactively or report experiment exposures. It needs a package manifest, a real core integration and reactive state before merging.

Explanation

Issue #68 has coding requirements that this PR does not meet. The PR adds packages/vue/src/useAbby.ts, but it does not add a @tryabby/vue package manifest, build configuration, or public entry point. The file does not import or otherwise consume @tryabby/core; it declares a duplicate AbbyClientCore interface. The composables read values only once and do not use the declared subscribe method, so they are not reactive as described by the PR. The PR adds no tests for types or runtime behavior. The basic useAbby, useFeatureFlag, and useRemoteConfig methods are present inside a factory, but the package integration is incomplete.

Resolution

Create the packages/vue package as @tryabby/vue with its public entry point and build metadata. Use the actual @tryabby/core API and types. Implement the required Vue 3 reactive updates, including subscription cleanup. Add type tests and runtime tests for all three composables.

Align the client interface with the core Abby API.

AbbyClientCore in packages/vue/src/useAbby.ts requires getVariant and onAct. The core client in packages/core/src/index.ts exposes getTestVariant and has no onAct method. An Abby instance therefore does not satisfy AbbyClientCore, and createAbbyVueComposables(client) rejects it at type checking.

Use the core client's API directly. Call getTestVariant for the variant lookup. Implement action reporting through the core client's event API instead of an onAct method on the client.

Expose the factory as a workspace package.

packages/vue has no package.json or package entrypoint. The workspace cannot build or publish @tryabby/vue, so consumers cannot import this factory by its required package name. Add the manifest, entrypoint, dependencies, and build configuration. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Report experiment exposures.

When an adapter delegates getVariant to core’s getTestVariant, rendering a variant sends no exposure event. The React integration sends a PING for the selected test and variant, so Vue experiment results would omit these exposures. Send the corresponding event when the variant is displayed. Return reactive values and subscribe to client updates.

These getters return plain snapshots, and none of the composables calls subscribe. After project data loads or a flag, variant, or remote config changes, mounted components retain their original values. Bridge client notifications into Vue refs or computed values and unsubscribe when their scope ends. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Derive the remote-config type from its key.

The caller can request any T, regardless of the configured value. For example, useRemoteConfig<number>("title") compiles even when title is a string, so numeric operations can fail at runtime. Derive valid keys and return types from the core configuration, as the React integration does. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
