Summary

Routes the V2 BT840XE board and adds production files in PCB/v2.x/production, using V1's folder layout. The board has 0 DRC violations and 0 unconnected items.

What changed

  • Routing: F.Cu and B.Cu carry signals, In2 is a solid ground plane, and In1 carries signals with a partial 3V3 fill.
  • BUCK_FB: 17.6 mm on the top layer only, kept out from under the inductor.
  • Hall sensor: only its own supply, ground and signal are within 2 mm.
  • Pin swap: BTN_MACRO4 moved from P0.21 (E2) to P1.11 (Z0), because E2 had no escape route and Z0 sits beside the button.
  • Copper removed: 8 dead-end stubs from the original copper, all with their nets still complete.
  • Fiducials: six, three per side, placed asymmetrically.
  • Silkscreen:
    • Snips logo at 80% on the bottom
    • Regenerated QR code on the bottom, same URL as V1
    • V2.0 text on the top, between the macro rows
    • R2 Builders mark on the top

Testing

  • stackup check and BOM export pass.
  • DRC has 0 violations and 0 unconnected items, and the PCB sync check is clean.
  • latch_sim.py passes.
  • The 76 assembled parts match Stackup's BOM, with no blank or mismatched LCSC numbers.
  • The Gerber outline is 30 x 70 mm.
  • The QR code decodes from a rendered image, not yet from a printed board.

Open before fab

  • BT840XE shows 0 stock at JLC. Mouser and DigiKey have thousands, so the plan is to supply them to the assembler.
  • Check part rotations in the assembler's preview, especially U_MCU1, U_IMU1, U_CHG1, U_HALL1 and D_RGB1.
  • Compare the module footprint with Fanstel's land pattern.
  • Bench test coupling between the hall sensor, trigger magnet and stick.
  • Confirm Nordic's values for USB and VBUS.
  • Check the fab's silkscreen minimum against the 0.19 mm QR squares.
  • USB D+ and D- differ by 14.5 mm, about 0.1 ns. That should be fine at full speed, and it's accepted for now.

Regenerate the production files after any further board change.

Fully routed on four layers: In2 is a solid ground plane, and In1 carries
signals with a partial 3V3 fill. BUCK_FB stays on the top layer and out
from under the inductor. Every GND pad has a via to the plane.

BTN_MACRO4 moved from P0.21 (E2) to P1.11 (Z0), since E2 had no escape
and Z0 sits beside the button.

Adds six fiducials, the Snips logo at 80%, a lower-density QR code that
prints at 5.5 mm, and the V2.0 text. Production files follow V1's layout.
