Update the vulnerable indirect dependencies.
github.com/apache/thrift v0.22.0 has reported infinite-loop and integer-overflow advisories. github.com/moby/go-archive v0.2.0 has reported path-traversal advisories. Upgrade the dependency chain to versions that clear these advisories, then regenerate the module files.

suggestion: we prefer having a port strategy over a log-only one. If you need both, fine to combine them using a wait.ForAll strategy
fakesnow runs a Snowflake fake backed by DuckDB, serving the Snowflake REST API over HTTP, so gosnowflake connects to it unmodified. ConnectionString returns a DSN ready for sql.Open. The account is always part of it: gosnowflake otherwise derives the account from the host, which has no account part when the host is a container address. The wait strategy reads the server's startup log rather than polling the port, since docker publishes the port before the application binds.
Follows the activemq module, which combines both with wait.ForAll. Also bumps the indirect thrift to v0.24.0, which clears the advisories coderabbit flagged. arrow-go pins v0.22.0, so it needs the explicit requirement here.

Thanks, both addressed. Switched to On the dependency advisories: bumped the indirect I left Rebased onto main as well, the podman module touched the same generated lists. Tests still pass, 7 cases in 67s. |
Follows up on the registry PR where @mdelapenya suggested a Go flavor for the Java module (testcontainers/community-module-registry#192).
fakesnow is a Snowflake fake backed by DuckDB. It serves the Snowflake REST API over HTTP, so
gosnowflakeconnects to it unmodified and Snowflake-flavoured SQL works without a Snowflake account.Generated with
modulegen new module -n fakesnow -t FakeSnow -i ghcr.io/tekumara/fakesnow:0.11.21, then filled in.Two things are worth a look.
The wait strategy reads the log, not the port. Docker publishes the mapped port before the application binds, so
wait.ForListeningPortreports ready while uvicorn is still starting and the first connection fails.wait.ForLog("Application startup complete")is what the server actually prints when it is serving.ConnectionStringalways puts the account in the DSN. Without it gosnowflake derives the account from the host, which has no account part when the host is a container address, and the failure is a confusing one.WithAccount("")is rejected for the same reason. fakesnow accepts any credentials, so the other options only change what the driver sends. The default image is
0.11.21rather than something older.db.Begin()sendsBEGIN, which failed against fakesnow's server until tekumara/fakesnow#444;TestTransactioncovers that and fails on earlier images.Tests start a real container and go through
database/sql: VARIANT viaPARSE_JSON(...):k[1],LATERAL FLATTEN,QUALIFY, a transaction rolled back, and the options reflected in the DSN. Both examples are runnable.go test ./...passes in 67s.Databases are not created for you, so the tests and the second example run
CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTSfirst. The docs say so too.
