fix: UnifyNormals' sample loop can be cancelled (#2490 fuzz) - #2709
A hang the wider panic fuzz of #2490 found: SmApiUnifyNormals with a huge sample count never returns, and cancelling doesn't stop it.
Cause.Stitch::unify_normals (heal/stitch/p1.rs) evaluates and drops num_samples points of each lamina edge use, in a loop that never checked the cancel token. On an open body with u64::MAX samples it doesn't end. Upstream's SmStitch::UnifyNormals (SmStitch.cpp:2512) has the same loop over the caller's ULONG.
Fix. The loop calls k.check_cancelled(..)? on every sample, as stitch_vertex_pairs and do_stitching already do. Only a cancelled call returns early (Cancelled), so no result changes and no flag is needed. This is a hang fix, unconditional per AGENTS.md §4b, and the module docs list it as a deviation from upstream.
I rejected capping the count instead: any cap would be arbitrary, would change results for legitimate counts, and isn't upstream.
Test.tests/hang_unify_normals_samples.rs, in the style of #2543:
The u64::MAX call runs on its own thread, the token is cancelled after 1 s, and the test expects Cancelled within a 120 s budget.
0, 4 and 64 samples still succeed.
With the check edited out, the cancel test fails at the budget.
Stitch::unify_normals evaluates num_samples points of each lamina edge use and never
checked the cancel token, so u64::MAX samples (panic fuzz of tangency-labs#2490, heal family) ran
without end and could not be cancelled. Upstream SmStitch::UnifyNormals has the same
loop. The loop now checks the kernel's cancel token on every sample; only a cancelled
call returns early, no result changes.
Stitch::unify_normals checks the kernel cancellation token on each sample. Regression tests cover cancellation during an extreme sample count and successful calls with sample counts of 0, 4, and 64.

Summary
Cancellation checks and regression coverage crates/solidcore/src/heal/stitch/p1.rs, crates/solidcore/tests/hang_unify_normals_samples.rs
Stitch::unify_normals checks for cancellation on each sample and documents the Cancelled result. Tests verify cancellation with u64::MAX samples and successful calls with sample counts of 0, 4, and 64.
The change lets a very large UnifyNormals sampling run be cancelled instead of hanging, and results for calls that complete are unchanged. A cancelled call can leave some faces already flipped without telling the caller which ones. The small-count test also checks only that the call succeeds, not the resulting orientations. Both are bounded issues worth addressing or accepting before merge.

Explanation
The title names the fix and its target: the UnifyNormals sample loop can now be cancelled, and it references the fuzz report #2490. The raw summary and objectives both describe a cancellation check added to Stitch::unify_normals in heal/stitch/p1.rs, plus regression tests for the u64::MAX sample-count hang. The title is specific and matches the main change. It uses the 'fix:' prefix and is a single sentence of 60 characters.

Check the orientation results.
is_ok() accepts an empty or incorrect flipped-face list and incorrect face orientations. Assert the expected results for a fixture that requires a flip.
As per path instructions, “tests should check values a wrong result would change.” Based on learnings, tests should gate on values rather than time.

Agreed: is_ok() doesn't check the orientation. This PR has merged, so I'll add the check in a follow-up. The test will assert the flipped faces and the resulting orientations on a body that needs a flip.

Approved by the automated first-pass review: CI green, mergeable, no CI/build/dependency file changes, no red-flag patterns in added code (process/network/env/unsafe outside FFI/blobs/hidden unicode), 0 known-mismatch entries added. Logic is gated by CI and the difftest merge queue.
…angency-labs#2709 follow-up)
The tangency-labs#2709 test only asserted is_ok(), on a Brep clone (whose surfaces have no owner). The
drafted rectangle, consistent and with one face reversed by SwapUV, now checks the
returned flipped faces and that every manifold edge's face uses agree afterwards, for
sample counts 0, 1, 4 and 64. The existing check runs on a brep_copy.
