Paramedic. Simulation Technologist. Software Builder.
I build digital tools and platforms around healthcare simulation, education and operational workflows.
My work sits somewhere between healthcare, simulation, software engineering and product development, usually involving a problem that could probably be solved with fewer spreadsheets.
Most of my current development work uses TypeScript, React and Next.js, with an interest in building reliable systems that are pleasant for people to actually use.
Designing and developing technology for simulation-based education, from immersive learning experiences to the systems used to run simulation services.
Areas I am particularly interested in include:
- simulation operations and infrastructure
- immersive and technology-enhanced learning
- digital learning environments
- human-centred interface design
- accessibility and inclusive technology
I enjoy taking ideas from rough concept through to working software, including:
- product and systems architecture
- full-stack web applications
- multi-tenant SaaS
- workflow automation
- authentication and permissions
- developer tooling
- AI-assisted workflows
Software for running healthcare simulation services
SimHQ is an evolving SaaS platform designed to replace fragmented spreadsheets, email chains and disconnected tools with a single operational environment for simulation teams.
Current and planned capabilities include:
- room and resource management
- multi-tenant organisations
- asset management
- support and service workflows
- notifications and automation
- operational dashboards
- enterprise authentication and permissions
- trial and tenant lifecycle management
The project also gives me an excuse to think far too deeply about product architecture, developer experience and what happens when seemingly simple workflows meet real organisations.
I also build smaller tools for the Raycast ecosystem.
-
- Generate gradients for SwiftUI, Tailwind CSS and standard CSS.
-
- An enhanced cheatsheet experience with custom collections and improved browsing.
-
- Control Luxafor devices directly from Raycast.
-
- A simulation learning package designed for healthcare education.
-
- A multi-screen patient-monitor emulator for simulation environments.
-
- Tools for generating Blackboard LMS learning templates.
-
- An opinionated starting point for new software projects.
