DevOps and Cloud Engineer automating infrastructure across AWS and Azure
I'm a DevOps and Cloud Engineer with more than three years of experience across AWS, Azure and infrastructure running on premises. I hold an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, which I now apply to automation, agentic AI workflows and ML infrastructure.
Right now I'm the sole DevOps engineer at hiveQ AG, where I look after a SaaS platform used by many tenants, covering everything from provisioning and deployment to security and reliability. I care about building systems that are reproducible, automated and easy to hand over, whether that means Infrastructure as Code, GitOps or a solid CI/CD pipeline.
Before hiveQ, I spent two years at Siemens Energy working on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and FinOps, and before that I supported AI tooling and cost monitoring at Procter & Gamble.
hiveQ AG · DevOps & Cloud Engineer, since January 2026
- Own the full hybrid estate as the sole DevOps engineer, covering provisioning, deployment, security and reliability across legacy Windows servers and a new Ubuntu and Docker platform.
- Led the migration to Ubuntu and Docker, now running about 30 containerized services internally, cutting licensing and database costs.
- Automated environment provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, cutting setup time from about two days to under ten minutes.
- Extended the CI/CD pipeline on TeamCity and Octopus Deploy with security gating, cutting deployment time from around 45 minutes to under 10.
- Built GitOps style reconciliation from a single source of truth, replacing about 30 manual steps with one command.
- Automated per tenant database provisioning with backups secured through Ansible Vault, cutting onboarding time from a full day to about 10 minutes.
- Designing a tiered hosting model, using Helm and Kubernetes for a highly available option for premium tenants alongside optimized Docker for standard ones, matching availability commitments to each customer's infrastructure cost.
Siemens Energy · DevOps and Digitalization, Working Student, January 2024 to January 2026
- Designed a containerized invoice and PDF microservice in Python and .NET Core, replacing a paid third party API.
- Migrated Jira backlogs onto Azure DevOps CI/CD, cutting migration time from two weeks to under four hours across 12 agile teams.
- Built ETL pipelines for the Pythia Knowledge Graph, moving SAP and Salesforce data through Snowflake and AWS Lambda into Neptune, RDS and S3 for more than 1,000 users.
- Supported AWS FinOps work, applying scheduled scaling, spot instances and resizing to reduce cloud spend.
Procter & Gamble · Cloud Assistant, AI & R&D, Working Student, February 2023 to August 2023
- Containerized machine learning workflows with Docker and Azure ML pipelines, cutting model preparation time by half.
- Set up proactive cost monitoring and budget alerts in Azure, cutting GPU compute spend by about 25 percent.
- M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (2022 to 2026)
- B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, University of Tabriz (2018 to 2022)
🌱 Currently deepening: Advanced Kubernetes, ArgoCD, DevSecOps and Platform Engineering 📚 Working towards: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03)
- Automated Medical Imaging Pipeline (Master Thesis, FAU): a scalable deep learning pipeline for medical image segmentation, built with Python, PyTorch and Docker.
- LLM Powered Enterprise Chatbot (Siemens Energy): automated CI/CD and infrastructure scaling for a chatbot built on Azure OpenAI, cutting data retrieval time by 70 percent.
