User request

After updating the v1.4.3 Windows preview, show a What's New section when the app starts for the first time after installing/updating, and keep the notes accessible later.

Feature

  • New App → What's New sidebar route usable with or without an open analysis.
  • First-launch native, keyboard-accessible dialog opens once when the installed version differs from the last dismissed version; Escape/Continue dismiss and remember the current version.
  • Highlights are pulled from the exact installed version's CHANGELOG.md entry and bundled offline with the app. Upcoming Unreleased work and older releases are not shown as current changes.
  • Saves only a version string in localStorage (with an in-memory fallback when storage is denied). No telemetry or network request.
  • Caps the announcement height on laptop screens and lets users revisit the page at any time.
  • Tests cover the first-install/update/return-visit lifecycle, malformed or missing notes, version-specific parsing, and storage-denied behavior.
  • Updated Settings privacy disclosure, web guide and Unreleased changelog.

Release scope

Designed for RepoDNA v1.4.3. Do not tag or publish a stable release until review build and CI validation succeed.
