Why

A Windows build job validates its own MSI and NSIS installer files, but the release trial and final publication path lacked a single inventory assertion after downloading archives from all jobs. Missing or zero-byte files could make a release incomplete.

Changes

  • Add packaging/release/check-windows-inventory.mjs, verifying seven nonempty Windows artifacts: two portable CLI ZIPs, x64/Arm64 MSIs, x64/Arm64 setup EXEs, and the WinGet manifest ZIP.
  • Run a new release-assets job in both trial and publishing workflows, collecting the same GitHub Actions artifacts that become release downloads.
  • Make npm, both container-image publishing jobs, and the GitHub release wait for the completed inventory preflight.
  • Add four Node regression cases and static workflow dependency tests.

Release target

v1.4.3. No tag, release, or registry packages are published by this PR. CI and a manual non-publishing Release trial must pass before merge.
