  • --top N cuts the printed result list after ranking (scores and order unchanged) for the semantic, hybrid, lexical/commit and saved-index searches. --top 0, a non-number or a repeated --top is an error (exit 2). Without it, output is unchanged.
  • Unit tests for parsing; README Quick start shows --top 3.
  • A recording of --hybrid evaluation/corpus "index header" --top 3 (docs/demo/offline-search.tape, VHS) under the status note.

Checked against the built binary: default prints 7 results, --hybrid ... --top 3 prints 3, --semantic ... --top 1 prints 1, --top 0 exits non-zero.
