## Quick start

Rust **1.88** or newer is required.
### Try the released CLI (macOS or Linux)

The prebuilt CLI does not require Rust. The installer downloads a release, checks its SHA-256 checksum, and installs to `~/.local/bin`:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rustfuture/reflex-control/main/install.sh | sh
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
reflex --version
reflex demo verifier-gate
```

The demo prints local policy decisions without an API key or model download. Prebuilt Linux binaries require glibc; unsupported platforms can build from source. On Windows, use the [PowerShell installer](install.ps1).

### Build from source

You need Git and Rust **1.88** or newer, including Cargo. Install the toolchain with [rustup](https://rustup.rs/); the first source build downloads Cargo dependencies.
