Home Assistant – OpenVPN Client (Add-on)

This repository contains the Home Assistant add-on OpenVPN Client, was created with the help of AI to complement the excellent Home Assistant software, making smart homes easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Installation

1. Open File Editor in Home Assistant.
2. Inside the /config folder, create a folder named addons (if it does not exist yet), and inside it create a folder named ha_openvpn.
3. Upload your .ovpn file into the ha_openvpn folder.

Adding this repository to Home Assistant

4. Go to Settings → Add-ons → Add-on Store → Repositories.
5. Add the repository URL: https://github.com/rpisoft/ha_openvpn
6. Open the add-on configuration.
7. Enter the name of your .ovpn file (e.g. myvpn.ovpn) in the configuration.
8. Save the configuration.
9. Start the add-on.
