A workbench full of audio apps, 3D-printed signs and hobby projects. I'm Del (aka postmanpat), and I build free, open-source audio software in Rust, with a lot of help from AI agents. Together they're the Wave family: a radio player, a music studio, a recorder for streamers and Wave Hub, a launcher that installs and updates the other three. All four are free. They get better every time someone tries them and tells me what they think, so come and say hello!
π¦ ChipWave Tracker is now ChipWave Studio. It started out as a simple tracker, but it's grown into a much bigger music-making project, with a built-in synth, an arranger, a mixer and MIDI. "Tracker" no longer fits what it is today, so it has a new name to match. Same free app, same cicada, and your old links still work.

These apps are built with you, not just for you. Ideas, questions, bug reports, screenshots of your setup, songs you made, streams you recorded: it all helps, and I read everything.

Tip
Tried BigWave Radio on a Mac or Linux? Those builds are brand new and have only been tested on build servers so far. A quick it works on my system or problem report is the most useful thing you can do for the project. Thank you!

The Wave family keeps me busy, but I also like trying out smaller projects. The latest is Sign Maker for SolidCraft, a free companion for SolidCraft that turns a line of text, a font and two colours into a 3D-print sign. It has a live 3D preview, a one-object two-part 3MF export, and a Make button that steams for four seconds.

A big thank you to storytold, whose open-source PhotoCraft inspired the look of the Wave family icons, and whose ArtCraft Launcher inspired Wave Hub. Open source at its best. Go give them a β!
