…reators to SendChat/BroadcastChat The chat module replaces open77_chat and asks the operator to drop it from resources.load (opx_infinity modules/chat/server/main.lua warnAboutDuplicates, config/chat.lua KEYS note). The platform documents that Open77.chat.send and broadcast still return true when no chat authority is running, so a resource using them loses every line silently. The new section names the creator exports and the SERVER.EXPORTS.WRITERS allowlist they need. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>

Summary
chatmodule page: a warning that the platform'sOpen77.chat.send/broadcastdeliver nothing on an opx_infinity server, and a pointer to the creator exportsSendChat/BroadcastChatand theSERVER.EXPORTS.WRITERSallowlist they need. Why
I ran into this while writing a small server resource (welcome line and
/rulesfor my server): following the platform docs I was about to useOpen77.chat, then found it can't reach the box here. Read in the code:open77_chatand asks the operator to drop it fromresources.load:modules/chat/server/main.lua(warnAboutDuplicates) and theKEYSnote inconfig/chat.lua.Open77.chat.*hands the line to the chat authority and that the calls still returntruewhen no authority is running. So a creator following the platform docs would lose every line with no error. The fix is already in the framework (
SendChat/BroadcastChat); this page just has to say so where a creator looks for chat.Checks run
