The mark is now the component's own visual language -- two labels, two stems, two dots sitting on a line -- rather than a lettermark that could have belonged to anything. It says what the thing does before you have read a word. Stored as JPEG rather than PNG, which reverses the previous decision for a reason: the old poster was flat black and one grey, so a palette PNG was almost free. This one is a dense halftone dot field, which is high-frequency detail that PNG must store losslessly and JPEG is built for. Resized to 1400px at quality 82: 347 KB -> 224 KB, with the dots still crisp. logo.svg is the new mark, and is a better favicon than the old one.

On the file format
Stored as JPEG, which reverses the decision made for the previous poster, deliberately:
Resized to 1400px at quality 82: 347 KB → 224 KB, with the dots still crisp and no visible artefacts.
