Paginate detection trees; add all inference services to dev stack - #334
Replaces the per-detection GET /detections/{id}/artifacts with a workspace-wide GET /workspaces/{id}/detections/trees — a cursor-paginated list of detection trees. Each item is one detection run with its artifacts (live input, intermediate availability, all live redacted outputs), reusing the detection list's cursor order and filters (status, document, policy, account, filename search).
Pagination on roots: a page of detections is fetched, then their outputs in one batched query grouped by detection — no N+1.
Semantics preserved: deleted inputs/outputs leave their roots intact; retention/deletion predicates match the former endpoint (retained_intermediate() carries the same purge/workspace checks).
Adds OCR (docTR) and STT (faster-whisper) alongside NER, each behind a compose profile on a localhost-only port (NER 3200, OCR 3201, STT 3202).
Shared &inference / &readyz YAML anchors, one ELIDE_VERSION (rc.6), init-warmer per service (model into hf_cache/doctr_cache, service runs non-root, cache read-only, Hub offline).
Readiness probed with python -m elide_core.readyz (shipped in the image) — no inline scripts in the compose file, matching the warm entrypoints.
make run takes NER=1/OCR=1/STT=1 (any subset); the engine config is generated from the enabled services by scripts/gen-engine-config.sh, always matching the running stack and ports. The static NER-only engine.dev.toml is removed in favor of the generator.
Replace the per-detection `GET /detections/{id}/artifacts` endpoint with a
workspace-wide `GET /workspaces/{id}/detections/trees` that returns a
cursor-paginated list of detection trees. Each item is one detection run with
its artifacts: the live input, intermediate availability, and all live redacted
outputs. It reuses the detection list's cursor order and filters (status,
document, policy, account, filename search), so the two views stay in step.
Pagination is on the roots: a page of detections is fetched, then their outputs
in one batched query and grouped by detection, so there is no N+1. Deleted
inputs and outputs leave their detection roots in place. The retention and
deletion predicates match the former artifacts endpoint, so what counts as a
live intermediate or output is unchanged.
Name the view after what it is: `DetectionTree` (response), `DetectionTreeRow`
(repository), `cursor_list_detection_trees` (query), with the child file types
staying `DetectionArtifact*`.

Add the OCR (docTR) and STT (faster-whisper) bento services alongside NER, each
behind its own compose profile and published on a localhost-only port (NER 3200,
OCR 3201, STT 3202). The three share `&inference` and `&readyz` anchors, pin one
`ELIDE_VERSION`, and each keeps the init-warmer pattern: a one-shot `*.warm` run
downloads the model into a cache volume (hf_cache for NER/STT, doctr_cache for
OCR), then the service runs non-root with the cache read-only and the Hub
offline.
Readiness is probed with `python -m elide_core.readyz` (shipped in the image)
rather than an inline Python one-liner, matching the warm entrypoints — the
compose file holds no embedded scripts.
`make run` takes NER=1, OCR=1, and/or STT=1 to start any subset; the engine
config is generated from the enabled services by scripts/gen-engine-config.sh,
so it always matches the running stack and its ports. The static, NER-only
engine.dev.toml is removed in favor of that generator.

The PR adds optional NER, OCR, and STT development services with generated engine configuration. It also replaces per-detection artifact retrieval with a paginated workspace detection-tree endpoint that includes associated redacted outputs.
Changes: Inference Service Setup
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Compose profiles and cached services docker/compose.yaml, docker/README.md
Compose adds profile-gated NER, OCR, and STT services, cache initializers, readiness checks, and service ports. The Docker guide documents their configuration and cache behavior.
A script emits configuration blocks for enabled services using configurable models and ports. The static NER-only configuration is removed.
Wire profiles into make run Makefile, README.md
make run starts selected profiles and passes a generated temporary config to the server when profiles are enabled. The Quick start describes enabling the services.
The redaction query supports batches and returns each output’s detection ID. The detection query returns paginated trees with associated outputs; tests cover pagination, workspace scope, and deletion cases.
Expose the paginated tree endpoint crates/nvisy-server/src/domain/output/workspace_detections.rs, crates/nvisy-server/src/domain/workspace_detections.rs, crates/nvisy-server/src/handler/response/workspace_detections.rs, crates/nvisy-server/src/handler/workspace_detections.rs, crates/nvisy-server/tests/detection_trees.rs
The server maps detection-tree rows to paginated responses and adds a workspace-level endpoint. It removes the per-detection artifacts response and service method. Endpoint tests cover empty results and authorization responses.

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to af546
make run with NER=1, OCR=1, or STT=1 can fail at the Compose wait step and never start the server. Naming the selected services in the up command avoids this. The detection-tree endpoint and the engine config generator showed no confirmed problems.

L158:
L159: When using `docker compose up --wait`, where I have an init container that populates some data and then exits (0), docker compose will exit 1.
L160:
L161: If any other container depends on the init container finishing, it will exit properly, as described/exampled in this PR: 【72†#9572】. In my situation however, there is no container that runs a service that depends on the init container finishing.

L376: We use the docker compose as part of test setup - the or-true approach will effectively void ANY kind of error coming from the stack (not only the "harmless one").

L388:
L389: Yes, it will. It will also make your test setup complete without errors (until this issue is fixed). The choice is yours :)

L403:
L404: what about just using the return code of the "pseudo service" process? if it's 0, then do not consider it as an error by the `compose up --wait` command.

L416: While this is not to argue that `--wait` couldn't/shouldn't take into account the exit code of services that exit (with the "complications" given by a restart policy taken into account), and with the observation that it's kinda' like that already:

Start only the selected inference services in the --wait command.
When a profile is enabled, this up also selects rustfs-init. That service has no profile and no dependent service, so Compose starts it on every bare up. Docker Compose can return status 1 from --wait when such a service exits with status 0 (docker/compose#10596). The recipe then stops before the server starts, so make run NER=1, OCR=1, or STT=1 can fail. Name the selected services so the command starts only those services. Their *-init dependencies still start automatically.
- @docker compose -f ./docker/compose.yaml $(INFERENCE_PROFILES) up -d --wait
+ @docker compose -f ./docker/compose.yaml $(INFERENCE_PROFILES) up -d --wait $(INFERENCE_SERVICES)

Review comment at @Makefile at line 128:
Update the inference startup recipe to name only the selected inference services
in the `docker compose up --wait` command. Define and use a service list
corresponding to the enabled NER, OCR, and STT options; keep the profile
arguments, and let Compose start each selected service’s `*-init` dependencies
automatically.
