tests/unit/security/test_frozen_jwt_compatibility.py: 1
39-68: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winExtract the shared frozen-wheel install logic.
This test duplicates the following from
test_frozen_gitpython_compatibility.py:
- the
locked.txthash-block regex,- the requirement-file writer,
- the
uv --no-config pip install --only-binary --no-deps --require-hashescommand.Move them into one helper, for example
install_frozen_requirement(name, tmp_path)in a shared test module orconftest.py. The two copies can then no longer diverge, for example in the index URL or the hash flags.As per coding guidelines: "DRY — single source of truth; eliminate copy-paste duplication".

scripts/security_audit_gate.pyimportsdatedirectly, and_approved_exception_idsreads both dates through that module attribute.patch.object(gate_mod, "date", AuditDate)therefore controls the validity check.openspec/CHANGE_ORDER.md: 1
11-11: 📐 Maintainability & Code QualityThe concern is refuted.
openspec/CHANGE_ORDER.mddefines the count as all direct active folders, and the reported count of 36 matches that definition. The ordering tables cover roadmap tracks, not every active folder. Several active folders are absent from those tables. The separate “Main dependency-only release phase” section is therefore a valid structure forisolate-semgrep-security-runtime; no additional ordering-table entry is required.openspec/changes/isolate-semgrep-security-runtime/design.md-36-37: 1

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.Fix the broken sentence.
"Real Ruby behavior" and "published-runtime equality" run together without a separator. Use a comma or "and" so the three separate acceptance checks read clearly.

1.175.0and MCP1.29.0, while explicitly marking the candidate as not production-admitted. The PR’s proposed Semgrep1.179.0release path should not be treated as validated by these candidate assets. [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::scripts/native_analyzer_inputs/requirements.in:1-7] - Its documentation explicitly distinguishes the released Semgrep
1.144.0identity from native candidates and says production producers, consumers, and locks require coordinated updates. [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::scripts/native_analyzer_inputs/README.md:123-126] [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::scripts/native_analyzer_inputs/README.md:150-152] - The code-review module is signed and currently declares version
0.51.2, with core compatibility>=0.55.1,<1.0.0. If the later dependency change modifies bundled module contents or capsule assets, the module version, checksum, and signature will need coordinated updates; the current test-only PR does not itself alter this manifest. [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::packages/specfact-code-review/module-package.yaml:1-2] [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::packages/specfact-code-review/module-package.yaml:41-47] - Repository policy requires changed signed-module contents to receive a version bump before signing, and signing covers the complete module payload. Review comments at @openspec/changes/isolate-semgrep-security-runtime/design.md:
- Around line 84-85: Update the acceptance status in the design’s receipt
statement to identify requirements-proof/quality-mapping-review.md as the
current acceptance receipt and distinguish
requirements-proof/advisory-mapping-review.md as historical advisory acceptance;
preserve the note that new native RED remains pending.
Review comments at
@openspec/changes/isolate-semgrep-security-runtime/proposal.md:
- Line 13: Update the Semgrep version selection in the proposal to use a version
admitted by the signed specfact-code-review module, unless its companion policy,
authenticated resources, checksum, and signature are updated together to support
1.179.0.
Review comments at
@openspec/changes/isolate-semgrep-security-runtime/TDD_EVIDENCE.md:
- Around line 318-320: Update the Semgrep 1.179.0 evidence section to add
coordination with the companion module as an explicit remaining release gate:
refresh its governed-pass toolchain lock and profile integrity metadata, and
confirm completion before citing 1.179.0 as release evidence.
Review comments at @tests/integration/scripts/test_runtime_discovery_smoke.py:
- Line 67: Update the smoke environment setup around `env = os.environ.copy()`
to remove inherited `PYTHONPATH` and `PYTHONHOME` before bootstrap and smoke
execution, so the temporary interpreter uses only the locked environment’s
import paths.

- The companion policy marks the analyzer dependency set—including Semgrep
1.175.0and MCP1.29.0—asdependency_admitted: false,production_eligible: false, andproposal_only: true. [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::scripts/native_analyzer_inputs/candidate-version-policy.json:14-27] - Existing production code still identifies Semgrep
1.144.0for both governed passes, while the differential policy has platform-specific1.144.0/1.175.0handling. The proposed PR version1.179.0therefore requires coordinated updates to companion producers, consumers, locks, and signed profiles—not just dependency metadata. [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::packages/specfact-code-review/src/specfact_code_review/run/runner.py:602-603] [::nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules::packages/specfact-code-review/src/specfact_code_review/run/differential.py:1628-1652] - The code-review module authenticates its toolchain lock and related contracts as bundled resources; its payload is version
0.51.2, compatible with CLI>=0.55.1,<1.0.0, and currently carries a checksum and signature. Any companion lock/profile changes would require refreshing these authenticated resources and integrity metadata. The owner-requested dev-first follow-up is now open as draft PR #786, #786. Its CI-signed test prefix has independent API and raw Git verification. The complete production dependency patch and native verification remain pending. This main-target PR remains draft and is not ready to merge. Original evidence and history remain retained; no old authority transfers to the dev PR. Replacement coverage must be verified before closing this PR. |
Dev-first integration required. Do not merge this release PR.
On 25 October 2026 the owner clarified that the complete security patch must first enter
dev. A focused follow-up is being prepared from dev9b5ad1e78430cc0b061cb16de42f73de96f4f312oncodex/security-dependencies-0-55-11-dev. The dev-targeted PR has not been opened yet.Dev already contains most of the security work from #784. The remaining approved package updates are GitPython 3.2.1, packaging 26.3, pycparser 3.12, python-discovery 1.6.1 and virtualenv 21.14.12, with their dependency floors, exact reviewed provenance/advisory records and tests. Current dev runtime protections, Requirements guards and all three strict audit inputs must survive. Historical validation below belongs to its named old revisions and does not validate the new dev follow-up.
The code on this PR last advanced on 23 October 2026 at 13:54 Europe/Berlin. Local recovery preparation has not restored the complete production patch to this branch. This PR remains a draft release follow-up until dev integration and exact final-head checks are complete. No merge or publication is authorized.
Not merge-ready. The live branch is the CI-signed test prefix
e90628d76ab9e241e77e451a5d83647c13634f28. The reviewed production patch and final delivery commits have not been restored. Do not merge this intermediate branch.Prepare the 0.55.11 security patch from published 0.55.4, with dependency and packaging changes only. The published application payload is unchanged apart from version strings and reviewed dependency metadata. Unreleased dev runtime changes are excluded.
The reviewed production patch updates official certifi and GitPython, the frozen Python security/build tooling, pycparser 3.12 with exact source-provenance review, and the locked documentation gems. It repairs source-distribution inclusion of the existing bundle-mapper. No fork, publisher, local signing, check waiver or unauthorized protected deployment.
MCP 1.29.0 and OpenTelemetry API 1.37.0 remain affected. Their separately owner-approved exact exceptions expire on 4 November 2026 inclusive and limit use to ordinary local-rule CLI scanning. They are not fixes. PyJWT remediation covers the reviewed frozen graph; public transitive resolver outcomes are not universally constrained.
Historical validation before signed-history replacement, on 23 October 2026, Europe/Berlin. These results belong to the original release history and do not validate the current prefix:
3ce8248e. All required CI remains enforced.The original reviewed follow-up fixes advisory latest/lower-bound test selection only. Seven function-level filters remove 19 committed-proof cases while retaining all 65 other collected cases. All blocking jobs are unchanged. The regression is committed before its fix; three final regression tests and 48 retained controls pass.
The previous final head was
3ce8248e0cb4249413f738759d8e5d89cdaca794. At that revision, all 43 checks passed and nine were skipped. All 12 review threads remain resolved. Final native Requirements producer, fresh execution and final checks pass. Both original authenticated executions had 33 passing cases, no errors or skips, and the original RED plan. The old exact-head authority belongs only to3ce8248e, expires on 24 October 2026 at 22:30 Europe/Berlin, and cannot transfer to the replacement head.The owner approved bounded CI/CD-only signed-history recovery on 23 October 2026. The genuine GitHub signer, both probe anchors, exact Git fetch proof and seven signed replacement test commits have passed independent verification. Native execution at the signed prefix stopped before tests because the historical pycparser review had expired. It produced no new RED evidence.
The owner separately approved a bounded provenance amendment. The original authentic 33 failures retain their original identities and must be mechanically checked against the signed replacement history. Genuine new advisory-selection RED, fresh final 33-case passes, valid signatures, all required CI and fresh exact-head authority remain mandatory. Protected policy deployment and the final exact-head historical-provenance grant require separate owner decisions. No merge or publication is authorized, and no merge is armed.
The policy/runtime recovery is still in progress. Local policy regression passes do not establish release readiness. The matching approved internal wiki update and graph rebuild are applied; pre-existing unrelated wiki health gaps remain recorded.
