Why

The /poteto-mode status pill showed two color emoji. They ignore the theme palette and render double-width, so they clash with the monochrome status line around them.

What changed

  • The pill keeps the dot (● while a turn runs, ○ otherwise). The label is now muted poteto and a warning-colored pinned, with no emoji.
  • The tests assert that a pinned session shows a status and an unpinned one shows none. They no longer pin the wording.

Scope

  • Only the status pill. The pin reminder that the model reads is unchanged.

Blast Radius

Cosmetic. It touches one string in the potetomode extension.

Verification

  • In a real omp 18.12.6 TUI with a throwaway HOME and no inference, /poteto-mode on showed ○ 🥔 poteto: 👑 PINNED before and ○ poteto pinned after. The ANSI capture shows grey, muted and amber theme colors.
  • Extension tests pass, 15 of 15. bash omp-port/check-port.sh prints check-port: PASS.

The pill carried two color emoji, which ignore the palette and render double-width beside the rest of the status line. It now uses only theme colors: a dot, a muted label, and a warning-colored state.
