1. configure adaptive y limits
2. using mean and standard diviation of the metrics instead of averaging
3. use solid line for v1, dashed line for v2
…g/ pipeline

Working branch only (not for upstream): merges pr-45-plotting_script into a
main-based branch so the scoring pipeline (scoring/, from PR #44) and aahlad's
run logs + curve-plotting script + scoring results (logs/, results/, configs/,
from PR #45) live in one working tree.

WORK IN PROGRESS — not final; shared for review/iteration.

logs/curve_plotting/: replace the plot_schedule_free.py monolith with a
two-pass pipeline (parse_logs.py -> curve_data.csv -> plot_curves.py),
parallel rendering, distinct CVD-safe colors, and a 2x2 layout (validation
metric + distance-to-target, each vs wall-clock time and steps).

analysis/: step-time table (submissions x workloads) and step-vs-wall-clock
leaderboard effect, reusing the scoring/ package so numbers match official
scoring; tidy CSVs + heatmaps/scatter/bump figures + findings README.

Caveats: analysis depends on absl-py; a numpy<2 shim (np.trapezoid=np.trapz)
lives in compute_metrics.py. Nothing here is wired into official scoring.
