Prepare the first release containing the documentation changes merged in #86. The current live route and PyPI release are 0.1.7 from commit 877091c; this PR sets the source version to 0.1.8 so the commit-bound release workflow can qualify, deploy, and publish the updated docs and package.
Local verification: Ruff check and format, ty, strict MkDocs, pre-commit, artifact metadata, installed-wheel import and README smoke, and the full suite (5,380 passed; 61 optional skips). No runtime behavior changes beyond the version identifier.
After green CI, the release workflow will deploy the qualified site artifact, publish to PyPI, create the GitHub release, and verify all three identities against the candidate commit.
