Delete null_color, sim_ps2, set_attrs, set_class and is_identical, which nothing referenced. Use && and || in if() conditions, spell out FALSE, and drop trailing commas in two calls.

Replaces styler and lintr with air and jarl (config, CI job lint.yaml, CLAUDE.md), formats the sources with air, applies jarl safe fixes, and fixes the remaining jarl findings (scalar && and || in if(), unused internals removed, T/F spelled out in tests).
exuber is a CRAN package with no lockfile, so rv is not added; DESCRIPTION stays the dependency source of truth.
Checks on the branch: air format --check . passes, jarl check . passes, devtools::test() has 0 failures and 1 skip (parallel seed test needs an installed exuber).
