Throwaway pull request into the throwaway branch gate-test/base, to check how the merge gate ruleset treats required statuses and admin merges before the same change goes on main (#106). Both branches and their test rulesets get deleted afterwards.

RetriggerConfidence Score: 5/5

This PR appears safe to merge into the intended throwaway branch.

Summary

Adds gate-test.txt as a marker for testing merge-gate rules on a throwaway branch.

  • The marker names a merge-gate test and says it stays off main.

A throwaway copy of main's rulesets on #107 showed that plain merges
fail because of the "only krishhgg may merge" update rule, which the
owner bypasses only through --admin, and that --admin does not get past
a required status or an open conversation in the ruleset with no bypass
list.
