Prerequisites

  • Android Studio Koala (2024.1.1) or newer.
  • Android SDK 34 or newer.
  • Google Maps installed on the device.

Getting Started

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/driving-mode.git

2. Configure Local Properties

Ensure you have local.properties set up with your Android SDK path.

3. Keystore Configuration

To sign the app for release, you need a keystore.properties file in the root directory.

Template for keystore.properties:

storeFile=path/to/your/keystore.jks
storePassword=your_store_password
keyAlias=your_key_alias
keyPassword=your_key_password

Important

Never commit keystore.properties or .jks files to version control. They are already added to .gitignore.

4. Build and Run

Open the project in Android Studio and click the Run button or use:

./gradlew assembleDebug
