StreamDeck UI (kharyam fork)

About this fork: the upstream unix-streamdeck/streamdeckui repository is archived and pins github.com/unix-streamdeck/api v1.0.1. The current streamdeckd daemon has moved to github.com/unix-streamdeck/api/v2, which changes the wire format (pages are objects, keys are nested under an application map, etc.). The unmodified upstream UI panics with nil pointer dereference in loadUI because GetConfig can no longer unmarshal the daemon's response into the v1 types.

This fork migrates the UI to api/v2 so it works with the latest streamdeckd. Changes are kept minimal — same UX, same shortcuts. Issues and PRs welcome on this repo since the upstream is archived.

This repository contains a graphical configuration tool for the StreamDeck devices that works on Unix, Linux and other OS.

Dependencies

dbus & zenity

For Debian/Ubuntu and Linux Mint users fallowing depencencies are needed

sudo apt install libgl1-mesa-dev xorg-dev

Usage

To use the streamdeck on unix you will need to have a daemon running. This GUI is built to work with unix-streamdeck/streamdeckd, the install steps are the following to build from code. You will only need a Go compiler.

$ go get github.com/unix-streamdeck/streamdeckd
$ `go env path`/bin/streamdeckd

Once that is running (you should probably plug in your streamdeck device first) you can install this package

$ git clone https://github.com/kharyam/streamdeckui
$ cd streamdeckui
$ go build -o streamdeckui-bin   # the source dir is named `streamdeckui`
$ ./streamdeckui-bin

About

Fork of unix-streamdeck/streamdeckui migrated to api/v2 so it works with the current streamdeckd daemon (the upstream is archived and panics with the new daemon).
