An experimental voyage, one wave at a time.

Navy is a minimalist microkernel written from scratch in C. It’s built purely for experimentation, embracing simplicity and the core principles of microkernel design without any pretensions.

Build

First, check that you have everything required:

./navy.sh doctor

Then run:

./navy.sh boot

Acknowledgments

A project like Navy wouldn’t be possible without the support of many talented individuals. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to:

  • D0p1 - For inspiring myself and others to create microkernels.
  • Sleepy-monax - For inspiring me with her impressive projects and generously providing this project's logo.
  • Cyp For sharing his deep technical expertise in OS development.
