This repository contains a compact VIRA-BFT prototype source tree. It keeps the core protocol implementation, local correctness tests, and the compatibility modules required by the prototype runtime.
vira_bft/: VIRA-BFT protocol model, certificates, validators, socket runners, recovery paths, mobility replay support, and benchmark helpers.vbft/,adkr/: compatibility support for the ADKR/common-coin components used by the VIRA prototype.honeybadgerbft/,speedmvba_dy/: underlying asynchronous BFT/MVBA components invoked by the VIRA data-plane adapter.utils/,crypto/,network/: legacy support modules needed by the prototype and tests.tests/vira_bft/: correctness and regression tests for signatures, certificates, handoff, recovery, dynamic transitions, and socket runners.
From this directory:
python -m unittest discover -s tests -t . -p 'test_*.py'Representative shell gates:
bash test_vira.sh
bash test_vira_socket.sh
bash test_vira_dynamic_socket.sh
bash test_vira_guardian_handoff_socket.sh
bash test_vira_recovery_socket.shThe socket tests bind loopback ports and may require a quiet local environment.
The original prototype was developed against Python 3.7. Install the Python
packages listed in requirements.txt. Some ADKR paths also rely on a
pairing/Charm stack used by the underlying asynchronous BFT codebase.
