A spotter on your wrist for when you're up high. fallspotter is a Wear OS app that detects severe falls from altitude drop, free fall, impact and stillness afterwards. It shows the evidence and checks on you before anything goes out.
Watch fall detection answers "did something like a hard fall happen?" It doesn't say how far you fell, how hard you landed, or why it thinks so. People who climb, hike, ride or work on roofs need a detector that knows about height, explains itself, and can be tested openly.

- Watches during sessions you start, such as a climb, a hike, a ride or a job at height, so the sensors don't drain your battery all day.
- Combines signals: altitude drop from the barometer, free fall, impact and rotation from the motion sensors, stillness afterwards, and heart rate as supporting evidence only.
- Shows its evidence for every incident, with a severity level instead of a bare "fall detected".
- Checks on you with a countdown you can cancel. In this version, what happens next is a simulation.
- Is tested in the open. A replay lab and a dataset of test-rig drops and everyday movements run through the detector on every build, and each build reports its false alarms and missed falls.
- It never reports "no pulse". A watch that loses skin contact says "heart-rate signal unavailable", and that is all fallspotter will say too.
- It is not a replacement for a certified personal emergency device or for your watch's built-in fall detection.
- Recordings and incident logs stay on the watch until you export them.
- Location is read only when an incident escalates.
- There is no network permission, no telemetry and no account.
