The star history chart in the README is broken because it relies on the GitHub stargazer API, which is currently restricted. Switch to an alternative that uses a different data source and works without an API token.

The current star history chart is broken due to GitHub stargazer API restrictions. This updates the chart to use a working alternative data source so the chart renders correctly again.
