GitHub retires the macos-14 runner images on Nov 2, 2026 (actions/runner-images#13518) and brownouts are already cancelling build-test and CodeQL swift (seen on #73).

  • ci.yml build-test: macos-14 → macos-26
  • codeql.yml swift matrix: macos-14 → macos-26

macos-26 (arm64) is the newest GA GitHub-hosted macOS image (default Xcode 26.6). No Xcode was pinned before; none added. Deployment target unchanged (macOS 14.0). CI-only, no version bump.

GitHub retires the macos-14 images on Nov 2, 2026 and is already failing
jobs during brownouts. macos-26 (arm64) is the newest GA image; it ships
Xcode 26.6 as default. No Xcode pin was used before and none is added.
Deployment target stays macOS 14.0.
