Follow-up to VULN-3216 (eMudhra CA compromise) remediation.

GitHub moved ubuntu-latest to Ubuntu 26.04. actions/setup-python, which getsentry/action-setup-venv uses to read .python-version, only installs prebuilt Pythons from actions/python-versions. There's no Ubuntu 26.04 build for 3.12.11, so CI jobs fail with The version '3.12.11' with architecture 'x64' was not found for Ubuntu 26.04 before anything runs.

Changes

  • .python-version: 3.12.11 → 3.12.15
  • clients/python/.python-version: 3.12.11 → 3.12.15

3.12.15 is the newest 3.12 release in the actions/python-versions manifest and has Ubuntu 26.04 x64 and arm64 builds. It stays on Python 3.12, doesn't change dependencies or lockfiles, and doesn't pin the runner to ubuntu-24.04.

Verification

  • uv lock --check passes.
  • uv sync --frozen --dry-run resolves with CPython 3.12.15.
  • Full test suites weren't run locally; CI is the real check.

Local environments using these .python-version files will move to 3.12.15 on their next sync.

actions/setup-python has no Ubuntu 26.04 build for Python 3.12.11, so
CI jobs on ubuntu-latest fail before running. 3.12.15 is the newest
3.12 release with a 26.04 build.
