This is a Godot 4.7 plugin that transforms the Godot editor into a fully featured editor for The Mystical Magic Terrence 2 and the accompanying Terrence Engine for Nintendo Wii.
The engine is currently in a heavy WIP state and not ready for public use. I've simply open sourced it... because I just felt like it lmao
This section assumes you are on Windows. I don't exactly know how to use Linux, so you're on your own there, pal.
- Download or clone this repository.
- Install Godot 4.7.
- Install devkitpro for Wii, and build and install GRRLIB.
- Download Dolphin Emulator. To run it directly from the editor, you will need to add it to your PATH encironment variable.
- Download and install Haxe.
- Run the following Haxe command in the command prompt to install reflaxe/cpp:
haxelib git reflaxe.cpp https://github.com/SomeRanDev/reflaxe.CPP
- Copy the template project.
- Clone it into
game:
git clone (your repo) game
- Run the following commands to get the actual engine code:
git submodule init
and
git submodule update
And you should be all good to open the project!
Building is relatively straightforward. See the Terrence menu in the top right for options.
The GRRLib team - Made the GRRLib library (what did you think they made?)
Godot Developers - Also self-explanatory.
SomeRanDev - For Reflaxe.CPP.
Bob - yeah
Terrence Editor and Terrence Engine are licensed under the MIT license, meaning you can do whatever. Credit would be much appreciated, however.
