Why

CI ran on Linux (Python 3.10–3.12) and macOS only. Nothing exercised Windows, Linux 3.13/3.14, or the built wheel, and no test covered Copilot CLI workspace labels — so a Windows-targeted change could regress Mac/Linux path labels unnoticed.

What

  • Windows / Python 3.12 — lint + full portable suite on windows-latest.
  • Portable matrix — adds Python 3.13 and 3.14; fail-fast: false so every version reports.
  • Package / wheel install — builds the wheel, installs it into a clean venv, runs --help on all five console scripts, checks --version matches pyproject.toml, and verifies bundled JSON and .pyz artifacts shipped.
  • test_copilot_cli_labels.py — label and repo-detection tests (relative paths keep /, ~ expansion, file → parent directory).

Verification

  • Local: ruff check src/ clean; portable suite 560 passed with -W error.
  • Package check run locally against a freshly built wheel: passes; removing one bundled artifact makes it fail.
  • The new label tests pass on main and fail against the relative-path rendering change in fix: handle Copilot session-state without SQLite DB #29.

Run the suite on Windows and on Linux Python 3.13/3.14, build the wheel
and smoke-test every console script and bundled data file from a clean
install, and cover Copilot CLI workspace labels with unit tests.
Run e2e subprocesses from the system temp dir instead of /tmp, skip the
POSIX-only Codex reader on Windows, and mark the two Copilot CLI WSL-path
tests as strict expected failures on Windows until #29 lands.
