perf(decofile): decompress .bin with node:zlib instead of npm:brotli - #1242
Conversation
npm:brotli's index loads its emscripten encoder too, which reserves TOTAL_MEMORY (304 MiB) at module load. fs.ts is imported statically, so every pod paid it even though only decompress is used: ~312 MiB of external memory (~33 MiB resident on Linux). node:zlib's brotliDecompressSync is native and needs no npm package.

The fs provider had no dispose, so its Deno.watchFs handle leaked and the test had to turn off the resource/op sanitizers. Close the watcher (and drop any pending debounced read) on dispose, and re-enable the sanitizers.

Why
engine/decofile/fs.tsimports{ decompress } from "npm:[email protected]"to read the production decofile (/app/decofile/decofile.bin). That package'sindex.jsalso doesrequire('./compress'), which loadsbuild/encode.js. That's an Emscripten build that allocatesTOTAL_MEMORY = 318767104bytes (304 MiB) when the module loads.fs.tsis imported statically (engine/manifest/manifest.ts), so every pod of every site pays this, even though onlydecompressis ever called.Measured on Linux (
