Senior Software Engineer · Mobile Team Lead · Mobile, Backend and Embedded
I build offline-first, real-time systems that stay correct on unreliable networks, and increasingly the hardware they talk to.
6+ years of production engineering across digital infrastructure, energy, fintech, telehealth, e-commerce and logistics. I currently lead the mobile team across two products in the Gidia Oaks group, working the full depth of the stack: Flutter clients, Go and Python services, and the firmware running on the device at the other end.
20,000+ active users · 99.5% crash-free · 4.7+ App Store rating · 40% faster deployments · 30+ developers mentored
Offline-first correctness. Local-first persistence with SQLite and Hive, background sync, conflict resolution, and reconciliation on reconnect. The app stays fully usable with no connection and converges to a correct state once one returns.
Real-time on hostile networks. WebSockets, MQTT and WebRTC tuned for low-bandwidth and unstable 2G/3G links. Resilient API layers with token refresh, retry and network-failure handling, because on these networks the failure path is the common path.
Embedded and IoT. Gateway and controller firmware, Wi-Fi provisioning and SoftAP onboarding, MQTT command and telemetry channels, RTC scheduling, and control of smart switches and relays.
Backend services in Go and Python. Microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB, Redis, MongoDB, JWT auth with access and refresh tokens, webhook handling, and error-recovery paths for financial operations.
Platform architecture. Multi-tenancy, role-based access control, hardware abstraction, and data retention and deletion controls for regulated data. Architecture I authored has been adopted across engineering teams.
Release ownership. CI/CD across GitHub Actions, Fastlane and Codemagic, from automated testing through to App Store and Google Play releases. Cut deployment time by 40% at NexaHealth while sustaining a 99.5% crash-free rate.
Leading and mentoring. Currently lead a mobile team. Previously led mobile engineering at four companies, ran code review and documentation practice, and taught a project-based Flutter curriculum to 30+ students with a 95% completion rate.

I maintain developer tooling under OpenForge:
anvil is a guided, zero-config build and release pipeline for mobile projects. Detects the framework, then builds, signs and ships without you memorising each toolchain's CLI. 13 merged pull requests.
leak_sentinel is a custom_lint plugin that hunts disposal-based memory leaks in Flutter, the undisposed controllers and uncancelled subscriptions and timers, and fixes them with one click in your IDE and in CI.
Contributions merged into other people's projects:
Echo-Mirror-Butler · A social wellness app built on Stellar, where you gift XLM to friends during live video calls. Four merged pull requests: a shareable mood streak card with PNG export, semantic labels on the mood selector for screen readers, releasing the Agora engine when a picture-in-picture call is torn down, and clearing per-user provider state on logout.
Bridge-Watch · StellaBridge's monitoring tooling. Merged an API fixture validator to keep the test fixtures honest against the live contract.
FastLED · Opened pull requests covering a browser audio-reactive UI widget, a mapped video player, and a PARLIO CI fix.
