Premiere Slate Builder

A Premiere Pro 2025 extension that automates slate creation with precise timing alignment.

Features

• Multi-input support: Paste text or drag/drop TXT/CSV files
• Automated timing: First slate at 00:59:50:00, subsequent slates at :50 of each minute
• Native text layers: Each line creates an editable Essential Graphics text layer
• UXP primary, CEP fallback: Modern UXP with ExtendScript backup for missing APIs
• Drop-frame accurate: Proper SMPTE timecode math for all frame rates

Installation

1. Copy the uxp folder to Premiere's UXP extensions directory
2. Enable the extension in Premiere Pro > Extensions > Slate Builder

Development

npm install
npm run build    # Build both UXP and CEP versions
npm run test     # Run unit tests
npm run lint     # Check code style
npm run validate # Full validation (lint + line count + tests)

Architecture

• UXP: Primary implementation using Premiere Pro UXP APIs
• CEP Fallback: ExtendScript backup for unsupported UXP features
• Mogrt Template: Four-layer text template for fallback scenarios
• 300 Line Limit: All modules enforced to stay under 300 lines
