🚀 That's roughly how the last seven years have gone, across fintech, enterprise, and SaaS. I've been fully remote since 2020, usually on small teams where owning a feature meant writing the API, the UI, and the deploy for it, then writing it down so the next person didn't have to reverse engineer it.
💼 Most recently I spent four years at Tawk.to, in a large TypeScript and NodeJS codebase I didn't write. I took features from the first ticket through to production support. I built the Stripe integration behind subscriptions and cancellations, and got response times down about 20% by chasing memory leaks nobody had traced. I also reviewed code for a team of seven, which is where most of what I think about service boundaries came from.
🏗️ Before that I built Angular CRM features at Corebridge, REST APIs and JWT auth included, and worked on a wallet platform at ProximaX that passed 100,000 downloads.
☁️ I've shipped to AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, and Google Cloud Run. Docker for packaging, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins for releases, PostgreSQL and MongoDB underneath.
🔐 MeowPass is the project I point at when someone asks how I work. It's an encrypted secret manager I built end to end: a Go CLI, a serverless API on Lambda, a NextJS app on PostgreSQL, AES-256-GCM, keys handled on device, zero knowledge sharing. Security wasn't a checklist item there. It was the product.
🧠 I'm strongest on the backend in NodeJS and Go, and I'm good at explaining complicated things without the jargon, which is usually what makes them useful to everyone else in the room.
