The first useful rhythm controls sat below laptop viewports, saved state was invisible, and Capture and recording results did not consistently lead back into making music. P5 brings the existing workflows together: Start Playing and reachable pads, optional contextual tips, grouped navigation, persistent transport and truthful save status, protected project switches, and direct Capture → Keep → Use and recording-result handoffs.
The fresh whole-product audit drove the work. Sound Lab, Jam, scenes, libraries and System share clearer language and focus behavior; keyboard Help, reduced motion, contrast, responsive layouts and recoverable empty/error states receive coverage. Classic remains available through System compatibility tools because raw code/routing, source import/export and several device/diagnostic capabilities still lack dependable Studio parity. No major feature family, authored project schema, DSP architecture or runtime ownership change is introduced.
Validation on Ubuntu 24.04.4:
See completion report, prioritized audit and classic comparison, user guide, validation results, and screenshot comparison. The report records the exact implementation exit criteria, files, regressions fixed and remaining limitations.
P5 implementation and available Ubuntu validation are complete. Full native product acceptance remains pending:
Ubuntu remains Level B — Runtime Safe. Deterministic audio fixtures and CI do not close native gates. No system installation, kernel, pending apt or audio-stack changes were made.
