Blog post introducing SPIFFE workload identity in Apache Camel: the camel-spiffe component and the Workload-API-backed SpiffeSSLContextParameters coming in Camel 4.23 (CAMEL-23305, CAMEL-24571), and the example merged in apache/camel-examples#260.

The post covers the problem SPIFFE solves, the SPIFFE and SPIRE vocabulary, the three operations of the component with client and server snippets, mutual TLS with rotating X.509-SVIDs, a walkthrough of the Docker Compose example, and what is planned next.

Categories: Security, Camel. Author: oscerd.
