Summary

  • acn listen answers a human chat with the official model when the person already picked one.
  • If they did not, and the agent's own provider rejects or times out, the client tries the official model once. That person pays. Agent-to-agent invoke stays on the agent's provider.
  • If the official try also fails, the letter stays and is not sent to the model again.

Test plan

  • npx vitest run tests/local-receiver.test.ts tests/inbox-replay.test.ts tests/chat-writeback.test.ts (69 passed)
  • npx tsc --noEmit -p tsconfig.tests.json
  • python3 scripts/check_skill_frontmatter.py
  • After this CLI is published and installed on a host, the host wake script must stop calling the official door itself, or the same letter can be billed twice.

Listen uses the official model when the person already picked it. A rejection or timeout gets one official try, paid by that person. Invoke stays on the agent's own provider, and a failed official try is not called again.

A listen timeout, a token mint failure, and a missing hop no longer spend the try. A reply that already came back is posted again without a second model call.

The letter is not marked spent, so a later envelope can still be tried. Later letters in the same batch keep moving.
