Database rename option is missing from the menu despite being listed in the changelog

Environment:

• OS: Android 16 (NothingOS 4.1)
• App Version: Latest Play Store update (Sep 17, 2026)

Steps to reproduce:

• Open the "Browse" view to open the file browser.

Expected behavior:

• A "Rename" option is available in the menu alongside "Delete", as announced in the latest release notes.

Actual behavior:

• Only the "Delete" option is visible; the rename option is missing completely.

Thanks for the report.

What I found. The 1.1.23 release note was about the long-press menu in Browse: long-pressing a database there opens a sheet with Rename and Delete, and I confirmed that sheet has both. The menu that only offered Delete is the other one: open the database, tap the menu button and choose "More", and the sheet for the open database had a single Delete row. From your steps I believe that is the one you hit; if you saw only Delete somewhere else, please say where.

Fix. The open database's sheet now has the same three actions as its Browse row: Rename, Move to… and Delete. Rename keeps the grid open under the new name, Move to… lets you pick a folder and carries the open tab along, and Delete still asks for confirmation. Move to… is new for folders and databases in Browse too; it comes with the shared core 2.52.0 that the next Android release adopts.

Verified on an Android 15 emulator: renamed an open database (name updated on screen and on disk), moved it into a subfolder (file moved on disk, tab followed), deleted it (confirmation shown, tab closed).

Status. In the Android shell on the branch for the next release (planned as 1.1.24). Not in a build yet; I will comment here when it is out.

Closing since the fix is written and verified. If the menu still lacks Rename on that build, comment here and I will reopen.

Shipped in ZenNotes for Android 1.1.24. The More sheet for an open database now has Rename, Move to… and Delete, the same three actions as the long-press row in Browse. Release and APK: https://github.com/ZenNotes/zennotesandroid/releases/tag/v1.1.24. Google Play is reviewing the same build; it rolls out there once approved. If you sideload, the APK on the release page is the Play-signed one, so a later Play install updates over it.
