Conversation
VFB's male-CNS is v1.0 (Site male_cns_v1_0 is the Connectome and data source; DataSet Berg2025a), but the docs still said v0.9 / Berg2025, and cited the preprint, which is now published (Berg et al. 2026, Cell 189(18):5504-5526.e15, PMID 42691995). - connectivity.md, EM/_index.md (version, neuPrint link, published paper), stages.md (Berg2025 -> Berg2025a) - neuron-counts.md: ~166,700 neurons (Cell abstract; marked approximate, full text not checked), DatasetImages 340,230 for Berg2025a -> ratio 2.04, the 'two preprints' note (now only MANC), a versions note, and the source. Why
VFB's male-CNS is v1.0 — in PDB, Site
male_cns_v1_0carries theConnectomelabel andis_data_source, and DataSetBerg2025aholds 166,693 neurons — but the docs still said v0.9 /Berg2025. The paper they cite as a preprint is now published: Berg et al. 2026, Cell 189(18):5504–5526.e15, PMID 42691995, doi:10.1016/j.cell.2026.08.015. This can merge now.Changes

:Neurontotals don't reproduce the preprint's 166,691 definition. (VFB'sBerg2025aholds 166,693 neurons, consistent.)DatasetImages:Berg2025a= 340,230 (run_query,count_status: exact, 2026-10-15) → ratio 2.04 (v0.9: 315,430 → 1.89).Note
The planned maleCNS image rebuild (VFB_connectomics_import
docs/MALECNS_REBUILD.md) deletes ~161,000 spurious images (every neuron is currently written into both templates), so 340,230 / 2.04 will drop to roughly 1.0 after it runs — re-check then.#526 (BANC v888, draft, DO NOT MERGE) is stacked on this branch, since both edit adjacent table rows.
