Personal Linux desktop configuration for a Hyprland (Wayland compositor) setup, including window manager config, bar/shell theming, terminal shell, Neovim, and a system-info fetch tool.v image

Contents

├── fastfetch/ # System info fetch tool config
├── hypr/ # Hyprland window manager config
├── nvim/ # Neovim config (LazyVim-based)
├── wayle/ # Wayle status bar / shell theming
└── zsh/ # Zsh shell config (Oh My Zsh + Powerlevel10k)

hypr/ — Hyprland

Configuration for the Hyprland compositor.

  • hyprland.lua / hyprland/colors.lua — main config (Lua-based, using the hl config API), including monitor setup, default programs (kitty terminal, dolphin file manager, wofi launcher), autostart commands (swaync, wayle shell), environment variables, and color scheme
  • monitors.conf / monitors.lua — monitor layout (auto-generated by nwg-displays)
  • workspaces.conf — workspace rules
  • hyprlock/colors.conf — color scheme for the hyprlock screen locker

wayle/ — Wayle

Configuration for Wayle, a status bar / shell used with Hyprland.

  • config.toml / runtime.toml — bar layout and general settings (fonts, module placement — clock, systray, workspaces, bluetooth, cava audio visualizer, etc.)
  • themes/schema.json, schema.json — theming schema
  • styles/index.scss — custom SCSS styling
  • tombi.toml — TOML language server/schema config for editing these files

nvim/ — Neovim

A LazyVim starter configuration.

  • init.lua — entry point
  • lua/config/ — core options, keymaps, autocmds, and lazy.nvim bootstrap
  • lua/plugins/ — plugin specs, including AI-assisted coding plugins (ai.lua, codecompanion.lua)
  • lazyvim.json — enabled LazyVim extras (language support for Go, Python, Java, C/C++, JSON, Markdown; ESLint linting; project utilities)
  • lazy-lock.json — pinned plugin versions
  • See LazyVim installation docs for setup.

zsh/ — Zsh

  • .zshrc — uses Oh My Zsh with the Powerlevel10k theme, zsh-autosuggestions and zsh-syntax-highlighting plugins, and runs fastfetch on shell start
  • .p10k.zsh — Powerlevel10k prompt configuration
  • .zsh_history, .zcompdump-* — local shell state/cache (not portable, safe to exclude when reusing these dotfiles)

fastfetch/

  • config.jsonc — custom fastfetch layout (based on HyDE presets) showing OS, kernel, and other system info with custom formatting/icons
  • logo/ — custom logo assets used in the fetch output

Usage

These files are meant to be symlinked or copied into their respective config locations under ~/.config/, e.g.:

~/.config/hypr/
~/.config/wayle/
~/.config/nvim/
~/.config/fastfetch/
~/.zshrc, ~/.config/zsh/.p10k.zsh

Adjust monitor names/resolutions in hypr/monitors.conf and hypr/hyprland.lua to match your hardware before use.
