Summary

Release 1.4.0: readable quota cards in every style, a unified calendar with a day card and streaks, and an in-panel update flow with progress, Install now / Later and a persistent Install button.

Quota cards

• Adaptive ring layout (single ring, grid or rows) chosen per window count and width; unified width computed from both cards (440-560 pt); 10 pt text floor.
• Cards sized for real data: three Claude windows with model chips and pace lines render fully in standard, compact and rings.
• Standard style moves Settings / About / Quit into the header gear menu.

Calendar

• Always unified in the Codex, Claude and Unified tabs; five intensity levels by usage quantiles.
• Hover follows the pointer and returns to today when it leaves the calendar.
• Day card on hover-hold or click: per-provider icons, tokens, percentages, model chips, current and best streak per mode; Esc, outside click, scroll or view change dismisses it.

Updates

• Banner with real download and extraction progress, then Install now / Later.
• Later keeps a persistent Install button in the panel and About, across relaunches; install relaunches the app.
• Manual check reachable from About in every non-running state; feed overrides only over https.

Performance and robustness

• Incremental transcript scan with a versioned resume file (content anchor, per-root checkpoints, no rewrite when unchanged), one capture pass, 45 s budget.
• Concurrent Claude history + account fetch bound to 12 s; each provider card publishes on arrival; refresh stays busy through local archiving.
• SQLite read handles closed on schema errors, sqlite3_close_v2, Gregorian day keys, account identity decode outside the lock, preferences centralised.

Verification

• make ci-check: 322 tests, 2 skipped, 0 failures.
• make screenshots regenerated the README images; make install-dev on the M4 (Apple Development), no TCC prompt, idle CPU 0.0 %, no error/fault logs.
• Live QA on the M4 with real data: three Claude windows fully visible in rings, calendar unified in all tabs, day card hover/pin/outside-click verified.

Release

• Version 1.4.0, build 5. Publication after the notarized artefacts and the update flow are validated on the M1.
