$DownloadTimeoutSecondsassignment.The test assigns
$DownloadTimeoutSeconds = 2but no code in this file reads it. The comment on the mock environment suggests the intent is to bound the timeout used bySave-OnlinePackages. In this test,Save-PackageDownloadis not reached for the mocked package becauseTest-PackageFileis stubbed. The assignment is therefore dead. Remove it, or pass the value explicitly ifSave-OnlinePackagesaccepts a timeout parameter.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

🔒 Security & Privacy | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Disable credential persistence for checkout.
actions/checkout@v4 stores the GITHUB_TOKEN in the local git config by default. This workflow does not need to push or run later git commands that use the token. Set persist-credentials: false to reduce credential exposure, as the zizmor artipacked warning reports.

Problem and behavior
Installer runs shared a temporary download directory, could choose an incompatible offline app, treated missing requested companion apps as success, and deleted existing caller variables under
irm | iex. Each run now owns its temporary directory and verifies ownership before cleanup. Parameter binding runs in a child scope. Relaunch executes a snapshot of the same script revision with serialized arguments and propagates the child exit code.
Offline selection reads package and bundle manifests, filters architecture and Windows build/revision before choosing candidates, derives package family names from publishers, and validates framework dependencies before deployment. Frameworks install in dependency order, including support for already provisioned dependencies before first user registration.
Downloads have a configurable per-attempt deadline, cancellation, unique temporary filenames, and hash/signature verification before destination replacement. The downloader writes an offline manifest with requested components, missing components, file sizes, and SHA-256 hashes. Local mode validates that manifest when present. Missing requested apps return partial failure, including download-only runs.
Validation
git diff --checkpasses.Actual online/offline installation on disposable LTSC 2021/2024, UAC, SYSTEM provisioning, and new-user registration remain release qualification steps. These checks do not establish installed-system behavior. Details are in
