Summary

  • I decompiled KS Fit 6.6.0 to see how it checks for and installs WalkingPad firmware. Its logic is in the Flutter Dart snapshot, which I read with blutter.
  • ROADMAP 1.9 is now Declined. The firmware check needs a KS Fit account session (user.login → xjid/token), and WalkingDad won't use an account.
  • The findings stay in 1.9 in case it's revisited:
    • the user.firmware endpoint and its parameters
    • the firmware file is used as raw bytes, with no decryption or hash check in the app
    • the update protocol: it runs over fe02 in 15-byte frames, and KS Fit doesn't use the Beken OAD service
  • tmp/ is added to .gitignore so the decompiled output stays local and untracked.

No code changes.

…ADMAP 1.9)

KS Fit's firmware check needs a KS Fit account session; record the
endpoint, image, and OTA findings for any future revisit. Ignore tmp/
so local research artifacts stay untracked.
